Landlord and Tenant
Landlord and tenant law, both residential and commercial, is a major practice area of Drouillard Lawyers. Our legal advice is informed by direct experience in the real estate leasing and property management industry. Our commercial leasing practice involves all aspects of the leasing relationship, from drafting and reviewing leases for real estate of all asset classes and legal advice for the administration of leases for multi-tenant buildings, to lease rate arbitrations, lease enforcement, and the dispute resolution of contractual disputes between commercial landlords and tenants.
Our residential tenancy practice primarily, but not exclusively, serves landlords. We focus on complex dispute resolution proceedings before the Residential Tenancy Branch of British Columbia, and the judicial review of decisions of that tribunal. A significant aspect of our residential tenancy practice includes advising clients how to manage difficult or ongoing lease administration issues, such as multi-tenant without cause lease terminations, high conflict landlord-tenant relationships, and additional rent increase applications.
